In this month’s newsletter, we discuss the US election, the markets, and share about our (virtual) holiday party.
LIFESTYLE DRIVEN ADVICE
Hello,
We hope this message finds you and your family enjoying the start of the new year.
As we begin 2021, it’s a good time to reflect on lessons learned during the past twelve months. Given the year we’ve all lived through, there is much to consider: a global pandemic, an economic correction, plummeting interest rates, and significant unrest across the country… just to name a few things.
In this newsletter, we share our thoughts on lessons learned, where the U.S. economy and equity markets may be headed, plus a few updates from our team.
If you have questions about anything that’s inside this newsletter, we invite you to connect with our team. We are here to support you and your wealth, regardless of what 2021 has in store.
In this video from January 8th, President of XML Financial Group, Curtis Congdon, CFP®, CRPC® shares his perspective on “2021.” Have questions about how these insights and ideas could impact your personalized wealth management strategy? Connect with our team.
On January 27th, we hosted a must-see webinar featuring insight and perspective from two veterans of the capital markets: Bradford Pineault, CFA®, VP and Capital Markets Strategist at Fidelity, and Scott Wren, Senior Global Equity Strategist at Wells Fargo Investment Institute.
Brett Bernstein, CFP®, CEO and Co-Founder of XML Financial Group, led the event, which included questions directly to the senior equity strategists at Fidelity and Wells Fargo Investment Institute.
We would like to recognize the work of Susan Harpe. Sue worked behind-the-scenes as the Compliance Specialist and retired at the end of 2020 after seven years with the XML team. Sue wore many hats during her tenure at XML. At times she focused on human resources, operations and compliance functions. She was an integral part in facilitating our move to independence with Fidelity and onboarding new advisors and employees to the firm. She was a stickler for details and cared about the clients and employees of XML. She is excited about this next chapter in her life and we are thankful for all her hard work. We wish you much happiness Sue!
COVID-19 Holiday Party
COVID-19 was not going to stop the employees of XML from celebrating the holidays. The management team asked each employee to pick a few items on an Amazon wish list, not to exceed $100. One of the items was chosen for each employee and was shipped to their home not to be opened until the “Zoom Holiday Party.” For the Zoom Holiday Party, employees dressed festive attire and we went around and had each employee open their gift live on zoom and explain why they selected the gift. It was a fun time had by everyone!
New Addition to the Sciuto Family
On November 22nd , John and Riva Sciuto welcomed their first child, John Benjamin Sciuto, into the world! He was born at 7:54 PM and weighed in at 6lbs, 13oz. Little Johnny (as he is known) has been growing bigger and cuter with each passing day. It looks like he will have his dad’s eyes and his mom’s curls!
