Written by XML Financial Group | Aug 13, 2026, 5:00:00 AM

Join our upcoming educational webinar on Tuesday, September 15 at 1:00 p.m. ET presented by XML Senior Wealth Advisor, Shawna Bieda, CFP®, CDFA®, and XML President, Curtis Congdon, CFP®, CRPC®. When more cash is sitting on the sidelines than you need for your near-term goals, it may be worth taking a closer look at what that money is doing and whether it still fits your overall financial plan.

What We Will Cover

  • Cash vs. inflation: How inflation can affect the purchasing power of cash over time and why the return on cash matters.
  • Giving your cash a purpose: How to think about cash for everyday expenses, emergency reserves, upcoming purchases and long-term goals.
  • The behavioral side of cash: Why waiting for markets to “settle” or interest rates to change can make it difficult to put a long-term plan into action.
  • Putting it into perspective: How to evaluate your cash reserves, tax considerations, liquidity needs and long-term goals with your wealth advisor as part of your broader financial plan.
