Realtor.com’s housing market forecast predicts a small reprieve for would-be homebuyers who have been hindered by a combination of lack of supply, high interest rates, expensive insurance, and soaring home prices. Easing inflation and hints of impending rate cuts from the Federal Reserve bode well for the cost and availability of mortgages, though the predicted cost reductions are modest at the moment.
