Community Cares
Join XML Financial Group at our Alexandria office on May 14th for a heart-warming event of giving back, genuine engagement, and meaningful action. Together, we will prepare and pack 100 nutrient-rich lunches for food-impoverished teens at Alexandria City High School.

Itinerary for the Day
- Lunch Packing: Roll up your sleeves and help assemble lunches from 11 AM to 12 PM.
- Enjoy Lunch - optional: Savor a delicious lunch with fellow volunteers from 12 PM to 1 PM.

Lauren O'Brien, CFP®, RICP®, CPA
Lauren O’Brien is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Retirement Income Certified Professional® committed to helping her clients on their life journeys with thorough financial planning. She partners with clients to design a retirement roadmap so that clients feel reassured in the financial decisions they make and execute.
Lauren’s journey afforded her opportunities to work on three continents with several prestigious firms, including Wells Fargo Advisors, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Deloitte. Fully bitten by the travel bug, she continues to enjoy travel, both locally and globally. She recently visited her 47th state, as part of a quest to see all 50 U.S. states, and she has traveled to six of the seven continents. Lauren’s journey led her to Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, where she currently lives. Committed to community, she founded Alexandria’s first exclusively community-focused TEDx program. She is active with her alma mater, the University of Notre Dame, focusing on programs encouraging empowerment and leadership development. She currently serves at George Mason University on the Financial Planning & Wealth Management advisory.
John Sciuto
John Sciuto is a Wealth Advisor at XML Financial Group who specializes in guiding his clients through their most important financial and life decisions. He focuses on comprehensive financial planning, personally curated investment portfolios and listening to the specific needs of his clients. John’s expertise in holistic long-term planning and in-depth market analysis help his clients navigate today’s complex economic environment. He previously worked as a financial advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors before joining XML Financial Group. John also worked in government affairs and as a corporate consultant.
John received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond and earned his master’s degree from George Washington University. John previously served on the board of the non-profit organization United Community and acted as the board’s investment research lead. He currently lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife and his collie, Cal. If you have a Peloton bike, let John know – he would love to do a ride together!
