As we approach the end of the year, we want to use our final newsletter for 2023 to wish you a happy holiday season! One of our objectives as wealth managers is always to look to find value for you; and during this busy time of year, we see value in reflecting and prioritizing. Not only do we want to share a reflection of our appreciation for you, but we also want you to know that we remain focused and here for you to close out the year strong.

 

Part of the end of year ritual is to start setting goals and planning for the year ahead. As always, we want to help you do that. Hearing about your goals and life plans on the horizon is one of the joys we celebrate in our relationship. We also take our responsibility seriously in this regard, knowing that an uncertain future can alter even the best plans. Here is one example in an interesting, unique story of how the world around us is continually changing in the form of  AirBnb Regulation .  

 

As we assess a changing world and global economy, we are fortunate to have XML President, Curtis Congdon, CFP®, CRPC®  host a webinar with Meera Pandit, J.P. Morgan Asset Management Executive Director and Global Market Strategist, on January 17, 2024, for a thorough  discussion and analysis  of the markets in the year ahead. Curtis also provided a fun, interesting, and timely  video update  to share his thoughts on gold that we thought you would enjoy.

 

Aside from planning, one of the best ways to begin the New Year positively is to end 2023 on a strong note. The financial markets appear to have gotten the memo and have taken the lead with a nice broad-based rally since the end of October. This is a positive sign heading into year-end . In a recent  WSJ article , our CEO and Co-founder, Brett Bernstein , CFP^® , is quoted on the latest market rally. We never know how long such a rally will continue, but while we plan and position for the New Year, our theme over the next two weeks is to embrace  it: Embrace everything, embrace your family, friends, and relationships, embrace what matters most to you, embrace the year we’ve all had and the life you’ve built, embrace the future – embrace it all!
