Hello,
The big story this month is, of course, the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The war began in late February and has continued into March. Although peace talks are ongoing, there has been little progress, and the hostilities seem likely to continue for at least the near future. In a recent edition of Wealth Insights, XML President Curtis Congdon shared his insights into the conflict and its impact on global markets and inflation rates.
Five was the magic number in our recent blog posts. First, we discussed five retirement planning rules of thumb that aren’t quite as rigid as they might seem; in fact, if these rules are followed too closely, they can actually have a negative impact on your retirement plan. And on the subject of retirement, we also highlighted five key points that every retirement plan should address to ensure you are prepared for life after your career.
Up to this point in 2022, we've seen plenty of uncertainty and volatility in the markets. On April 13 at 12PM ET, XML President, Curtis Congdon, will be joined by Invesco Senior Investment Strategist, Talley Léger, to discuss how to best navigate through volatility in the markets. This discussion will be one you won't want to miss so register for this webinar today.
Finally, March is Women’s History Month, and we recently marked the occasion with a webinar discussing the importance of empowering women in finance, investing, and beyond. Michelle Cooper, Director of XML-W - Women, Wealth, & Wellness, hosted a conversation with Jennifer Prosser, Market Strategist at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Michelle and Jennifer discussed Womenomics: how empowering women can lead to financial and economic success for everyone. We encourage you to watch the recording of this very important conversation that will be available early next week.
As always, if you have any questions about the information shared in the newsletter, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
