Webinar May 5, 2021
The Essentials of Estate Planning
In recent months, the Biden Administration has proposed several key changes to the tax code governing estate transfers. Specifically, these proposals include a significant reduction to the estate tax exemption and a discontinuation of the basis “step-up” that occurs when assets are inherited. Both of these proposed changes have the potential to significantly impact how your estate is taxed, and that’s why now is a critical time to explore estate planning strategies that can support your legacy.
On May 5, we will be hosting a live webinar covering these topics, led by XML Financial Group’s Michelle Cooper and Brett Bernstein. Register for the event to learn about:
- Why a well-crafted estate plan is vital for you and your loved ones
- The different types of trusts, and which ones might be right for you
- Current tax laws regarding estates and how those laws could change in the future
- How to incorporate charitable giving into your estate plan
