Continued Financial Stress May Slow Holiday Spending

Inflation may be moderating, but Americans are still feeling the burn from raised prices and wages that haven’t kept up. Some 76% of surveyed U.S. adults say they plan to cut back on spending for nonessential items, which may mean a leaner holiday season than retailers were expecting.
