Estate planning is easy to put off for another day; after all, you have the rest of your life to review your existing estate plan or sit down and make a new one. You may even feel an estate plan is unnecessary — maybe you are confident that your loved ones will carry out your wishes when you are gone, or maybe you don’t feel your estate is large enough to justify the cost of consulting with an attorney to create a plan.
