Gen Z is expecting a 40-year retirement. Good luck, experts say

A recent survey reveals Generation Z’s striking optimism about their retirement prospects. Not only do they think they’ll be able to retire at age 60 on average; almost 40% of them expect to live to be 100. They’re also convinced they’ll only need $1.2 million to fund all 40 years of retirement. To no one older than 30’s surprise, experts strongly suggest that the younger generation will have to moderate their expectations in coming years.
