It’s a good place to start, but life is getting more expensive and the future of the program isn’t as certain as it once was. Nearly three-quarters of Americans surveyed said they don’t think they can count on receiving Social Security benefits when planning for retirement, which means they’ll have to find other ways to support themselves after they stop working.
