Social Security is Running Out of Money Faster Than Expected

A new report says the Social Security trust funds will run dry in 2034, one year sooner than expected. Over 50 million Americans are currently assisted by the program each month. The finances for disability benefits are expected to remain stable for 75 years, but the coffer for retirement benefits is expected to run out by 2033. Last year, Social Security had a $22 billion shortfall.
