The Incredible Achievements of Older Americans

John Pemberton invented Coca-Cola at the age of 55. Campbell’s Soup founder Joseph Campbell was 52 when he started the company. Julia Child didn’t write her first cookbook until she was 50 years old. 

May is Older Americans month, a time to celebrate the contributions and accomplishments of older Americans. This year’s theme is “Make Your Mark,” and in honor of that theme, take a look at some of the most significant things people have achieved after their 40th birthdays.
