Join us on Thursday, July 30 at 11:00 am EST as Lauren O'Brien, CFP®, RICP®, CPA, Senior Wealth Advisor at XML and Abbie M.B. Everist, a Principal at BDO National Tax Office walk through how Trump Accounts work and how they might fit into your broader wealth transfer strategy.
Trump Accounts officially launched this July, and while they're built as savings vehicles for children, they also open up new opportunities for gifting and multigenerational planning. For grandparents and parents thinking beyond the next few years, these accounts may offer another way to pass on wealth, take advantage of gift tax rules, and give the next generation a meaningful head start.
What You'll Learn:
✔ Understand the gifting opportunity, including how contributions may qualify for the annual gift tax exclusion and what that means for your broader gifting strategy.
✔ See how it fits your estate plan, including how these accounts compare to trusts, 529s, and other vehicles you may already be using to invest for your family and transfer wealth.
✔ Learn the long-term growth potential, including how compounding from an early contribution could benefit a child decades from now.
✔ Explore the Roth conversion strategy, including how funds in a Trump Account may eventually be converted for continued tax-advantaged growth.
✔ Get guidance on coordinating contributions across multiple children or grandchildren within annual limits.
