Being able to retire comfortably is part of the American dream: with enough hard work and diligent saving, a financially comfortable retirement should be attainable for everyone. But in a recent Principal survey, less than half of American workers (49%) felt confident that they will be able to retire comfortably.
In the same survey, only 15% of retirement plan providers polled said they believed their plan participants were on track for a financially comfortable retirement. Is the possibility of retirement fading for many workers? This Money article explains.
