XML Financial Group Named To 2020 Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers

XML Financial Group is pleased to announce it has been named to the 2020 edition of the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers. The list recognizes top independent RIA firms from across the U.S.

This is the seventh annual FT 300 list, produced independently by Ignites Research, a division of Money-Media, Inc., on behalf of the Financial Times. Ignites Research provides business intelligence on investment management. “It’s a great honor to be included on this list,” says XML CEO & Co-Founder Brett Bernstein. “We don’t think of this recognition as being about the firm, but rather about the work we do for our clients.”

RIA firms applied for consideration, having met a minimum set of criteria. Applicants were then graded on six factors: assets under management (AUM); AUM growth rate; years in existence; advanced industry credentials of the firm’s advisers; online accessibility; and compliance records. There are no fees or other considerations required of RIAs that apply for the FT 300.

XML President Curtis Congdon added to Bernstein’s comments, “I feel this reflects the value we are able to bring to our clients. We love and appreciate the work we do, and clients tend to be drawn to that.”

The final FT 300 represents an impressive cohort of elite RIA firms, as the median AUM of this year’s group is $1.9 billion. The FT 300 Top RIAs represent 39 different states and Washington, D.C. The FT 300 is one in a series of rankings of top advisers by the Financial Times, including the FT 401 (DC retirement plan advisers) and the FT 400 (broker-dealer advisers).

As of December 31, 2019. Coverage period is 2019. Eligibility criteria:  SEC registered RIAs with over $300 million of AUM. The FT 300 assesses registered investment advisers based on desirable traits for investors. The Financial Times presents the FT 300 as an elite group, not a competitive ranking of one to 300. They believe this is the fairest way to identify the industry’s elite advisers while accounting for the companies’ different approaches and specializations. The formula the FT uses to grade advisers is based on six broad factors and calculates a numeric score for each adviser. Areas of consideration include AUM, asset growth, the company’s age, industry certifications of key employees, SEC compliance record and online accessibility.  XML did not pay to participate in said ranking.  For more information and to view the entire list, please visit: https://www.ft.com/content/6a45556e-6c21-4770-bc94-468fee0de563
